Grader, Bulldozer, and Scraper Operator operates a specially equipped tractor to gouge out, level, and distribute earth. Prepares land for constructing roads and buildings. Being a Grader, Bulldozer, and Scraper Operator may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additionally, Grader, Bulldozer, and Scraper Operator is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Bulldozer Operator’s primary function is to operate Bulldozers grading dirt and aggregate, dressing slopes, pushing pans, operating attachments such as root rakes, stone spreaders, or disk assisting with all aspect of the grading operation. Equipment operators are also expected to assist in the general operation of each job site and to run other equipment as needed.
The above listed duties require periods of standing, walking, stooping and bending. Employee must be able to climb equipment’s ladder to reach the operators seat. Position requires periodic lifting up to 50 pounds. The job duties described herein are not exhaustive and may be supplemented.
