Government Sales Manager manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales to government agencies. Designs and recommends sales programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies. Being a Government Sales Manager evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the department's sales volume. May recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Additionally, Government Sales Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. The Sr Manager, Government Wireless Sales and Operations drives growth and manages customer retention in the SLED (State, Local, and Education) government and large business segments of C Spire’s wireless customer base. This is done through effective management of the Government and Business Wireless team, which includes sales professionals and sales engineering, direct customer relationship building and management, and identifying opportunities for operational excellence to improve internal policies, procedures, and systems. Responsible for direct employee management of sales, retention, and revenue growth for State of Mississippi agency government accounts and Mississippi local government accounts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time, be able to lift 40 lbs., and lift materials. Must be able to use a computer keyboard and/or mouse while viewing computer screen. Some evening or weekend work is required. This position will require overnight travel.
