SUMMARY: GP Strategies is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team. We are looking for someone who is experienced in creating long term and successful client partnerships and who thrives in a consultative sales culture. A track record of consultative and conceptual selling would be a great asset together with a background in HR, OD and training processes.
Primary responsibilities will be to:
Develop new and existing business in North America
Build lasting relationships with our existing client base, working alongside our consultancy team
Lead sales and marketing initiatives for prospects and clients
Help deliver effective solutions for the client
The ideal candidate might be:
A successful salesperson from a similar service/consulting sector or from within the industry
An HR or Training manager/consultant within a business who has discovered the thrill of sales
An entrepreneurial person engaged and motivated by being part of a business that makes a significant difference to its clients
Required Qualifications
4 years business development or account management experience including prospecting and strategic approach to a territory/ client base
The position will involve necessary travel to service clients, plus occasional travel to other markets and/or East Coast headquarters. Projects often require work during non-office hours.

Ability to develop strong and trusting relationships at all levels in an organization
Ability to think strategically in viewing sales issues and opportunities
Outstanding listening and consulting skills
