Position Description

This is a Civil Service position with the Nashville Public Library. This position performs administrative and supervisory duties in the Finance Office, and is involved in overseeing the management of all grants awarded to Nashville Public Library.

Typical Duties

• Manages all grants awarded to Nashville Public Library.
• Oversees grant spending, required reporting and completion of annual recurring applications for grants awarded to Nashville Public Library.
• Monitors local, state, and federal grant funding announcements to determine opportunities for funding that would benefit Nashville Public Library.
• Completes grant applications as approved by the Assistant Director for Administrative Services.
• Monitors and audits Public Library’s Nashville Afterschool Zone Alliance (NAZA) contracts with our NAZA after school providers and any future contracts as needed.
• Coordinates with the Finance Administrator and Metro Finance Department-Grants Coordination Division to fulfill Metro requirements for grant applications.
• Writes quarterly grants report including outcomes and progress of all department grants.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Experience working in Financial Development
• Grant writing and reporting experience
• Bilingual language skills

Full-time, Civil Service positions -
