Government Compliance Manager plans and directs the government compliance function; provides corporate-wide focus for efforts relating to compliance with government procurement laws and regulations. Includes oversight responsibility for government contract compliance audit and training functions. Being a Government Compliance Manager establishes policy on a variety of procurement matters, including government accounting, government property and independent research and development issues. Develops and maintains the company's compliance risk management program to manage legal and regulatory compliance risks based on the Federal Sentencing Guidelines requirements and benchmarking research, facilitating the systematic assessment and management of compliance risks. Additionally, Government Compliance Manager ensures compliance with Sarbanes Oxley. Requires a master's/law degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Government Compliance Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Leidos' Corporate Government Compliance team has an immediate career opportunity for an Analyst. The ideal candidate will be an individual contributor who is technologically savvy and adept at data mining, research, and analysis. An ideal candidate will have familiarity with FAR Part 31 as well as Cost Accounting Standard (CAS) 405.
The candidate may support Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audits, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) cost monitoring and audits as required. Exceptional attention to detail, problem solving skills, persistence, and communication are required. This is a rare opportunity to gain exposure to multiple functional areas and in-depth insights into corporate financial structure and regulatory matters.
