Government Compliance Manager plans and directs the government compliance function; provides corporate-wide focus for efforts relating to compliance with government procurement laws and regulations. Includes oversight responsibility for government contract compliance audit and training functions. Being a Government Compliance Manager establishes policy on a variety of procurement matters, including government accounting, government property and independent research and development issues. Develops and maintains the company's compliance risk management program to manage legal and regulatory compliance risks based on the Federal Sentencing Guidelines requirements and benchmarking research, facilitating the systematic assessment and management of compliance risks. Additionally, Government Compliance Manager ensures compliance with Sarbanes Oxley. Requires a master's/law degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Government Compliance Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Job Overview:
    We are seeking a Site Safety Manager with Heavy Civil Construction experience to join our team in Lebanon, IN. The Site Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all project sites comply with company policies and OSHA regulations related to safety, health, and environmental requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to identify and mitigate potential hazards and ensure that all workers are trained in safe work practices.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement site-specific safety plans, policies, and procedures that comply with company policies and OSHA regulations
    • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
    • Train workers and supervisors on safe work practices, including fall protection, hazard communication, and equipment operation
    • Investigate accidents and incidents, report findings, and develop corrective actions to prevent future incidents
    • Work with project managers and superintendents to ensure that all subcontractors comply with safety regulations and company policies
    • Coordinate with regulatory agencies and third-party inspectors to ensure compliance with all environmental regulations
    • Maintain accurate records of all safety-related activities, including inspections, training, and incidents
    • Participate in pre-construction planning meetings to identify potential safety hazards and develop mitigation strategies
    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
    • At least 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction safety management
    • OSHA 30 Outreach certification or equivalent
    • Current 1st Aid/CPR
    • Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations and requirements
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software
