Government Compliance Manager plans and directs the government compliance function; provides corporate-wide focus for efforts relating to compliance with government procurement laws and regulations. Includes oversight responsibility for government contract compliance audit and training functions. Being a Government Compliance Manager establishes policy on a variety of procurement matters, including government accounting, government property and independent research and development issues. Develops and maintains the company's compliance risk management program to manage legal and regulatory compliance risks based on the Federal Sentencing Guidelines requirements and benchmarking research, facilitating the systematic assessment and management of compliance risks. Additionally, Government Compliance Manager ensures compliance with Sarbanes Oxley. Requires a master's/law degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Government Compliance Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. As a Sr Finance Manager on the Government Property Compliance team, you will have a strong understanding of US Government Acquisition Management process and Government Property Management requirements (Federal Acquisition Regulation 52.245-1 Government Property). You will manage a team of direct reports as well as a 3rd party ensuring compliance to the DFARS business system requirements at 30 Aerospace sites. You will lead and manages the organization responsible for interpreting Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), FAR Supplements, contracts, Standards for the Guiding Principles of Property Management and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) as applied to property acquisition, use and disposition. This role will Manage ownership and oversight of the Property Management System including developing and implementing property management policy and procedures and assuring that they are performed efficiently and effectively.
This role ensures operational excellence of major business systems and processes required to do business with the domestic and international customers.
