Liaises with government entities (federal, state, provincial, or local) that regulate or influence business activities. Monitors and analyses proposed legislation, emerging issues, and trends and prepare reports and informational documents to inform and support business leaders. Summary:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in political science, business, economics, public or health care administration, or a closely related field.
In lieu of degree, any combination of relevant education, training, and experience in addition to the experience noted below.
5 years of government relations, public policy, advocacy, or public service experience with a direct connection to health care.
Thorough knowledge of the county and municipal governments, officials, and communities in Cuyahoga County.
Strong analytical, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Highly self-motivated and results oriented.
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Strong advocacy skills. Impeccable ethics.

Preferred:
Master’s Degree in relevant field.
7 – 10 years of experience in government relations or public service in health care, health insurance, or a closely related field.
Proficiency in Spanish.
Physical Demands: May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing. Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
