Government Affairs Representative supports the implementation of strategic plans and engagement objectives to develop and maintain productive relations with all levels of government authorities to achieve business goals. Liaises with government entities (federal, state, provincial, or local) that regulate or influence business activities. Being a Government Affairs Representative collaborates with industry groups and organizations with complementary objectives to achieve objectives. Monitors and analyses proposed legislation, emerging issues, and trends and prepare reports and informational documents to inform and support business leaders. Additionally, Government Affairs Representative requires a bachelor's degree in public policy, public administration, business or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Government Affairs Representative work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Student Loan Representative I

    Summary of Work


    In this position, you will help people apply for their student loan, answering their questions during the application process. You will share loan and repayment options with them so they can be confident with the decisions they are making. If selected, you will also work closely with staff in the school’s financial aid office and play a key role in building and maintaining positive relationships with them.

    You will gain an understanding of the application and loan management software so you are able to resolve customer questions by phone or email, and verify documents. A willingness to collaborate with co-workers and seek to continuously improve our service is essential.

    Minimum Qualifications


    Requires a high school diploma or a GED and two years of work experience performing customer service activities and administrative duties related to loan origination. College-level coursework in accounting, business administration, banking, or finance may substitute for the work experience requirement on a year-for-year basis. Direct years of student loan experience may carry more weight than indirect banking experience. The applicant will be expected to support the entire student loan staff during core business hours. A schedule of M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. is expected.
