    As a Government Support Specialist in our Government Support Team for Manitowoc Cranes you will be responsible for handling and supporting various tasks involved in all aspects of providing Customer Support to Government and Military customers, including but not be limited to order entry, order administration, quoting, solicitation and award compliance review, parts research, maintaining and building customer relationships both internal and external, order fulfillment, supplier and partner flow down requirements. The role will be key in the critical future enhancement of process, evolution and growth of the Government Support Team.

    Reporting to the Sr. Government Support Manager, this position is located in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Provide customer service to direct US Government Customers as well as Distributors/Direct Account. Resolve customer complaints, assist with part identification, validate parts, and other general inquiries.
    • Review solicitations for feasibility. Work with management, Legal, and company departments for solicitation requirements and compliance. Quote/bid on solicitations and customer quote requests.
    • Work with procurement team to obtain current price and lead time for parts.
    • Assist with identifying process and procedural gaps. Document processes and procedures in written and flow chart format. Work to implement processes and procedures. Audit processes, procedures and documentation.
    • Invoice contracts in government system. Perform credit card transactions and provide supporting documentation to customer and accounting. Follow up with customers on past due resolution.
    • Enter Sales Orders into ERP (Baan) system in accordance with contract or PO requirements. Work with associated staff for fulfillment of order requirements.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Associate or Technical degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Customer Service with experience in quoting, responding to parts questions, past due accounts, order status, order discrepancy resolutions, nonconformance material tickets OR a high school diploma with a minimum of 9 years’ same experience required.
    • MS Office experience including Teams, intermediate skills in Excel, Microsoft Access and PowerPoint required.
    • Experience in an ERP system a strong plus.
    • Ability to read diagrams, parts illustrations a strong plus.
    • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Government Contracting and compliance preferred.
    • Normal office environment with occasional visits to factory environment.
    • Must be able to lift 25lbs.
