Manages teams that build relationships and liaise with government entities(federal, state, provincial, or local) that regulate or influence business activities. Being a Government Affairs Director performs ongoing monitoring and analysis of proposed legislation, emerging issues, and trends to determine the potential impact on the organization. Collaborates with industry groups and organizations with complementary objectives to achieve objectives. Additionally, Government Affairs Director creates communication vehicles and delivers messaging to inform and support business leaders. Requires a bachelor's degree in public policy, public administration, business or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Government Support Specialist is responsible for providing administrative support to the Government Affairs Manager, Tribal Administrator, and Elected officials. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in administrative roles, preferably within a government or executive setting, demonstrating discretion, professionalism, and the ability to handle confidential information. This individual should possess the ability to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment while also maintaining the ability to achieve accurate and highly competent results. This role entails traveling alongside tribal administration and elected officials as needed and occasionally on short notice.
The Government Support Specialist reports to the Government Affairs Manager and is subject to the CIN Personnel Policies and Procedures.
