Collaborates with industry groups and organizations with complementary objectives to achieve objectives. Additionally, Government Affairs Director creates communication vehicles and delivers messaging to inform and support business leaders. Requires a bachelor's degree in public policy, public administration, business or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Government Affairs Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Compensation: $75,000.00 Position Details: Favorite Healthcare Staffing is looking to expand more into the Government Sectors! The Government Director of Business Development will be responsible for driving growth and expanding our presence in the government sector. Leveraging your expertise and connections within the government sector, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships, and collaborating with executive leadership to secure government contracts and partnerships. You must live east of the state of Kansas to manage the Eastern Region for this role. Job Responsibilities: Co-develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy focused on the government sector, aligned with the overall company financial and strategic goals Provide client solutions by introducing all lines of business including Per Diem, travel, MSP, direct hire and all other Favorite business offerings in the nursing and allied segments Collaborate across all Favorite divisions to develop customized programs that maximize all areas of delivery for the group. Prospect and qualify new sales leads and opportunities within the government sector Maintain a well-developed sales pipeline of qualified prospects Meet and/or exceed annual quotas Track all sales activities and key performance indicators (KPIs) in the CRM and keep current by updating regularly Leverage your existing network and establish new connections with key stakeholders, decision-makers and influencers within the government sector Lead RFPs for prospective strategic clients working closely with our proposals team to craft compliant and competitive proposals tailored to government agencies' specific requirements Perform regular sales activities which include cold calling, phone sales, emailing campaigns, the use of social media, RFPs, corporate sponsored events, trade shows, and client lunches dinners as well as special engagements Make presentations to appropriate associations and government organizations to increase awareness of Favorite capabilities Communicate with clients as well as internal candidate and client-facing teams in a professional manner while simultaneously building credibility and rapport Maintain a problem-solving attitude under stressful circumstances Function in the capacity of the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for any and all process related queries with regards to government business development activities Provide support to the internal sales teams during the acquisition and development of targeted client or prospect Ensure contract compliance and distribution Help to create an environment of high morale, motivation and teamwork Other duties as assigned Experience and/or Qualifications: Minimum 3 years government-related sales experience required Bachelor’s Degree Healthcare staffing experience required Demonstrated excellent negotiating skills Demonstrated experience in selling strategic sales solutions Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in recruiting, staffing, production methods, human resources, and/or similar or relevant work experience Communicate effectively in writing and orally Knowledge of principles and methods for selling staffing services; this includes marketing strategy and tactics, sales techniques, and sales management systems Ability to work independently and with other team members Ability to organize and complete work in a timely manner Ability to multi-task Must be willing to travel via car or airplane as needed Must have a working knowledge of computers and software systems including Microsoft Office and HubSpot sales CRM Retain flexible schedules in order to service clients request and/or handle complaints Must be able to work for prolonged periods of sitting, typing and use of the phone and computer Must successfully complete onboarding training/tutorials and attend future webcasts/trainings as required #LINKFAV Applicants must be able to show proof that they are legally eligible to work in the United States.
