Government Affairs Director implements strategic plans and oversees engagement objectives to develop and maintain productive relations with all levels of government authorities that will support and enhance the businesses' goals. Manages teams that build relationships and liaise with government entities(federal, state, provincial, or local) that regulate or influence business activities. Being a Government Affairs Director performs ongoing monitoring and analysis of proposed legislation, emerging issues, and trends to determine the potential impact on the organization. Collaborates with industry groups and organizations with complementary objectives to achieve objectives. Additionally, Government Affairs Director creates communication vehicles and delivers messaging to inform and support business leaders. Requires a bachelor's degree in public policy, public administration, business or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Government Affairs Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Government Affairs Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Invoicing Specialist - Government Services

    The Invoice Specialist will be responsible for using HORNE’ system of record to review the specifics of all project types being billed. They will work with our billing manager and project management teams to ensure invoices are in line with Federal and State guidelines and submitted in a timely fashion.

     

    Invoicing Specialist Position Competencies:

    • Organized and Detail Oriented- Ability to stay organized and prioritize workflow.
    • Technology Astute-Ability to utilize technology to perform all job functions effectively and efficiently. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Communication- Uses clear language to communicate information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

     

     Invoicing Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Review invoice reports for accuracy
    • Review all invoice components for accurate award amounts and change orders
    • Create & Review Customized Client Invoices.
    • Enter invoice information into our system of record
    • Work with team and general contractors to resolve issues identified on invoices
    • Communicate with project management and client around corrected issues and timely resubmission
    • Identify and investigate training opportunities, record, and escalate as needed.
    • Work closely with the Billing manager and project manager and/or partner to meet customer specific billing requirements.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    Invoicing Specialist Qualifications:

    • Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum of one (1) year of billing experience.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Strong Excel skills
    • Strong organizational & analytical skills.
    • Ability to multi-task.
