Golf Superintendent is responsible for overall maintenance and care of the golf course, including turf/grass management, irrigation, and chemical applications (e.g., fertilizer, pesticides) to ensure quality playing conditions. Oversees continued development of golf course during golf season to improve playing conditions and maintenance of course during off-season. Being a Golf Superintendent manage purchasing, replenishment, and inventory of all materials, supplies, and equipment used to maintain golf course. Liaises with the Head Golf Professional on any issues related to golf course operations and maintenance. Additionally, Golf Superintendent typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a golf course general manager. The Golf Superintendent manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. JOB TITLE: TaylorMade Demo Event Technician
DEPARTMENT: Experiential
Position Summary:
The Lead Demo Technician will assist the Experiential Representative and the Sale Representative with consumer-facing sales at TaylorMade demonstration and promotional events at green grass facilities, driving ranges and off-course specialty shops. The Lead Technician is responsible for promoting the brand and ensures the visibility and quality of TaylorMade equipment and products while providing all other related services to satisfy customer requirements and requests.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
· Works for the Experiential Representative as a Demonstration Technician on an as needed basis
· Ability to execute a TaylorMade demo or fitting event start to finish
· Promotes the sale of TaylorMade golf equipment to potential customers at consumer facing events
Ability to carry fitting equipment in vehicle.
Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience:
· Must Have Golf related Custom Fitting/Sales experience.
· 1-3 years golf industry experience
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
· Friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic: high comfort level engaging with customers
· A strong and sincere passion for the TaylorMade brands and products
· Must have experience with custom fitting golf clubs
· Strong level of written and verbal communication skills. Use of professional language and good judgment when interacting with customers regarding comparison of various product brands
· Basic Computer skills
· Ability to access internet to post hours worked and e-mail sales reports to headquarters
· Ability to work weekends and evenings
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials. Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.
· Knowledge of the golf industry
· Ability to lift heavy objects and sample bags that weigh up to 50 lbs.
· Must possess a valid drivers license and valid automobile insurance
