Golf Superintendent is responsible for overall maintenance and care of the golf course, including turf/grass management, irrigation, and chemical applications (e.g., fertilizer, pesticides) to ensure quality playing conditions. Oversees continued development of golf course during golf season to improve playing conditions and maintenance of course during off-season. Being a Golf Superintendent manage purchasing, replenishment, and inventory of all materials, supplies, and equipment used to maintain golf course. Liaises with the Head Golf Professional on any issues related to golf course operations and maintenance. Additionally, Golf Superintendent typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a golf course general manager. The Golf Superintendent manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Golf Superintendent typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Overview
Established in 2002, Toddy Brook Golf Course is one of Maine’s “must play” public golf courses. This par 71 course features five sets of tees, rolling hills, elevation drops of up to 150 feet, plenty of water and some of the best greens in the state, and presents a great round of golf for all level of players. Toddy Brook also offers a driving range with grass tees, practice putting green, and a fully stocked golf shop.

Essential Responsibilities
Assist the head professional with managing the golf operation, junior golf, merchandising, staff training, tournament & league management and greeting & checking in customers. We are looking for a motivated individual who has excellent customer service skills and works well within a team environment.
