SUMMARY

The City of Chicopee’s Golf Course Department is hiring Seasonal Golf Assistants who will be responsible for completing the essential duties represented below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE

• Assist in all aspects of golf operations under the Director of Golf.
• Must be available to work any shift. (Available on Weekends)
• Ability to schedule customers with tee times and issuance of golf carts.
• Starters shall check all receipts for golf and carts, verify receipts before a golfer starts play and explain any special instructions to golfers.
• Assist in the operation of daily play, golf leagues and tournaments under the direction of the Director of Golf.
• Help with the maintenance of the 1st tee area and the cleanliness of the golf carts before their assignment.
• Ability to work with the Director of Golf, Golf Assistant, cashiers, and general public in a professional manner.
• Assist the Director of Golf in running Junior and Ladies Golf Clinics.
• Rangers (Assistants) must keep pace of play moving on course and ensure that participants are responsibly using the course facility.
• Rangers/ Starters (Assistants) also check water stations routinely.
• Make sure carts are available for golfers use daily.
• Clean carts thoroughly and put them away each day properly.
• Make sure balls in the driving range area are picked up and washed for daily use.
• Must get certified in AED training.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic knowledge of golf operations
• AED Certification
