Golf Superintendent - Assistant assists the Superintendent in the overall maintenance and care of the golf course, including turf/grass management, irrigation, and chemical applications (e.g., fertilizer, pesticides) to ensure quality playing conditions. Supervises personnel and participates in the maintenance of the golf course tees, greens, fairways, and cart paths. Being a Golf Superintendent - Assistant ensures adherence to golf course maintenance budget and capital plans. May serve in the Superintendent's capacity during absence. Additionally, Golf Superintendent - Assistant may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a golf course superintendent. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. A Day in the Life
The Golf Shop Assistant will assist with the management of daily golf operations including managing and tracking play, working cohesively with golf staff, assisting with all merchandising functions, assist with tournaments and junior golf, and provide other professional services to ensure an exceptional golf experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Welcome members and guests and take care of their daily needs.
Greet and interact with members, guests and fellow staff with a smile and positive attitude.
Help maintain, clean, and organize an incredibly successful and busy golf shop.
Assist and help manage all day-to-day duties related to inside and outside operations.
Assist other staff members when they need. We are a team and work together!
Understand the entire operation thoroughly with a basic understanding of all club rules and regulations along with golf shop rules, policies and procedures.
Sell merchandise as well as place, organize and reach out to members in regards to their special needs.
Assist Members and Guests with all questions or concerns.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school preferred.
1 year experience in golf shop and/or customer service/retail sales environment preferred.
Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends.
Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
Experience
Preferred- 1 year experience in golf shop and/or customer service/retail sales environment preferred.
Education
Preferred- High School or better
