Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Groundskeeper to join our team. As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of our grounds and outdoor areas. This is a hands-on position that requires knowledge of various tools and equipment.
Duties:
- Perform general groundskeeping tasks such as mowing, trimming, and edging lawns
- Plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform maintenance tasks
- Assist with irrigation system maintenance and repairs
- Remove debris and litter from outdoor areas
- Perform snow plowing and ice removal during winter months
- Maintain walkways, parking lots, and other paved surfaces
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of outdoor furniture and fixtures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscaping preferred
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in groundskeeping
- Familiarity with tree care techniques, including pruning and trimming
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying heavy objects
- Basic knowledge of lawn care practices, including fertilization and weed control
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
