Golf Greenskeeper performs various golf course maintenance activities, including mowing, trimming, and edging. Lays sod, plants trees, and seeds turf. Being a Golf Greenskeeper repairs ball marks on greens, tees and fairway divots. Maintains bunkers and sand traps, changes holes, and performs other general maintenance activities. Additionally, Golf Greenskeeper may be responsible for the upkeep and fueling of golf course maintenance equipment. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Golf Greenskeeper works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. As a Greenskeeper you understand the importance of maintaining optimal conditions on the course. At Callaway, golf is pretty much a year-round activity, so maintaining the course to withstand the weather changes is extremely important.
We are looking for individuals who enjoy being outside regardless of the weather conditions. Experience with mowers, weedeaters, small power tools, blowers and other maintenance equipment is preferred, but we can train if you have the passion, but not the skill just yet.
Qualifications
Shifts generally begin early morning (6am-630am) and end around 4pm with a break for lunch.
Starting rate of $13/hour.
