Golf Greenskeeper performs various golf course maintenance activities, including mowing, trimming, and edging. Lays sod, plants trees, and seeds turf. Being a Golf Greenskeeper repairs ball marks on greens, tees and fairway divots. Maintains bunkers and sand traps, changes holes, and performs other general maintenance activities. Additionally, Golf Greenskeeper may be responsible for the upkeep and fueling of golf course maintenance equipment. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Golf Greenskeeper works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. This is a greenskeeper position on our golf course and facilities maintenance team at Lake Waramaug Country Club. LWCC is a beautiful 9 hole golf course situated on a hill overlooking Lake Waramaug. Additionally, the club has 4 red clay tennis courts and a beach club. We take pride in the condition of our golf course and campus and strive to improve it every day. The ideal candidate will be hard working, have an eye for detail and strive to provide the membership with the best possible experience. The position will entail various aspects of golf course and facilities maintenance. Including but not limited to: mowing, string trimming, bunker raking, fertilizer applications, hand mowing, learning how to operate various pieces of equipment, hand watering, beach maintenance, tennis court maintenance and building repairs. Some overtime will be available. Lunch is provided during the season and golf privileges' are also included.
