Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Glazier to join our team. As a Glazier, you will be responsible for installing glass in windows, doors, and other structures. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work with various tools and materials.
Duties:
- Measure and cut glass to specified dimensions
- Install glass in windows, doors, and other structures
- Fabricate and install metal frames for glass installation
- Remove broken or damaged glass and replace with new glass
- Repair or replace window and door hardware as needed
- Work with construction teams to ensure proper installation of glass in new construction projects
- Collaborate with clients to determine their specific glass needs and provide recommendations
Skills:
- Proficient in heavy lifting to handle large glass panels
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques for touch-ups after installation
- Familiarity with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and putty knives
- Experience using power tools such as drills, saws, and grinders for cutting and shaping glass
- Ability to read construction schematics and blueprints for accurate installation
- Knowledge of cabinet installation techniques for integrating glass panels into cabinetry
- Understanding of drywall installation processes for proper sealing around windows and doors
- Strong maintenance person skills for minor repairs or adjustments as needed
