Glass Cutter/Finisher operates automatic equipment that burns, scores, and breaks continuous sheets of glass into specific lengths. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Glass Cutter/Finisher may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Glass Cutter/Finisher relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Glass Installation Technician at Destin Glass. The Glass Installation Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day installation of glass products, including insulated glass units, showers, tabletops, and mirrors. They will ensure the accurate measurement, cutting, and fitting of glass materials, as well as the proper sealing and finishing of installations. This role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must have availability Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm.
Qualifications
- Experience in the installation of glass products, including windows, doors, and mirrors preferred but not required
- Knowledge of measurement techniques and tools for accurate glass cutting and fitting and understanding of sealing and finishing techniques for glass installations preferred but not required
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Physical strength and stamina for lifting and maneuvering heavy glass materials (50lbs)
- Attention to detail and precision in work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team
- Previous experience in the glass industry is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
