Glass Cutter/Finisher operates automatic equipment that burns, scores, and breaks continuous sheets of glass into specific lengths. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Glass Cutter/Finisher may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Glass Cutter/Finisher relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Out in the field: Will be installing, caulking windows, installing shower enclosures and storefronts.
Inside the shop: Would be cutting glass and mirrors. Fabricating metal frames to have glass installed. Pretty much anything glass related.
Dealing with residential customers and commercial supervisor. Need to be able to follow directions and willingness to learn. Previously worked in the construction atmosphere or a glass tech a plus.
Must show up to work on time and have reliable transportation.
