Glass Cutter/Finisher jobs in Arizona
Glass Cutter/Finisher operates automatic equipment that burns, scores, and breaks continuous sheets of glass into specific lengths. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Glass Cutter/Finisher may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Glass Cutter/Finisher relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Job Requirements
- Experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Manual or Auto Insulation of glass
- Excellent hand / eye coordination
- Basic math skills
- Use a decimal conversion chart
- Use of hand tools and read tape measure
- Safety oriented – Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at ALL times
- Able and willing to be trained and learn different areas of production
- Work in team environment to complete work
- Ability to bend and lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Excellent attendance (ability to arrive to work on time, as scheduled on a daily basis)
- Attention to detail and SAFETY a must!
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening
