Geotechnical Engineer prepares and inspects projects involving drilling and exploration. Responsible for geological mapping, report writing, site characterization, numerical modeling and analysis of excavations/supports. Being a Geotechnical Engineer requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Geotechnical Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     Coordinating and managing all aspects of geotechnical investigation, engineering, and inspection including field investigation, geotechnical laboratory analyses, evaluation/calculation of pertinent geotechnical parameters, evaluation of foundation types and design parameters, report preparation,
    and construction phase inspection and consultation
     
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • BS in Geotechnical Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline
    • 7 yrs of hands-on relevant industry experience that should include the following:  proficiency in client interaction, proposal preparation, regulatory negotiation, staff management and development, and technical writing and communication
    • Professional Engineering License (P.E.) and Valid driver’s License required
