S&ME is looking for an eager and dedicated full-time Senior Engineer to join our growing team in Evansville, Indiana and help us provide high quality solutions to our clients.


    You Day-to-Day:

    As a Senior Engineer in an upcoming and growing market, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing construction materials testing and geotechnical projects, ensuring the highest level of quality and compliance with industry standards. You will work closely with clients, project teams, and laboratory staff to deliver successful projects while upholding our commitment to excellence.

    • Spearheading medium to large-scale Construction Materials Testing, Special Inspections, and Geotechnical projects from start to finish, where you'll manage budgets, schedules, and resource allocations.
    • Engaging closely with clients to grasp their unique project needs and going the extra mile to ensure their utmost satisfaction.
    • Nurturing and guiding a team of skilled professionals and field-based personnel, fostering their growth in client relations and project management.
    • Cultivating a robust local client base and expanding your professional network to drive revenue growth that aligns with our ambitious financial goals.
    • Taking the lead in local and regional business development endeavors, amplifying our presence through strategic marketing efforts.
    • Crafting meticulous field and laboratory cost estimates and proposals tailored to project specifications, International Building Code (IBC) standards, and client preferences.

    What You Bring:

    • You have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related field
    • You have 10 years of experience with Construction Materials Testing, Special Inspections and Geotechnical projects
    • You are a Professional Engineer (PE), or able to obtain within 6 months
    • You have a strong working knowledge of applicable ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT standards and procedures, IBC Special Inspections, and geotechnical recommendations.
    • You are willing to work outside, maneuver equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
