    Job Description

    Under direct supervision, performs basic geologic evaluations and investigations. Develops draft plans, evaluations and calculations for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Performs groundwater, surface water, sediment, and subsurface soil sampling and testing. Oversees environmental drilling and monitoring well installation. Performs basic geophysical testing, hydrogeologic investigations, and/or geotechnical investigations. Prepares and reviews draft assessments and calculations for compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Works on a variety of assignments, which may include, work plans, field studies, equipment design/development, test of specifications, data interpretation and evaluation, process study, research investigations, or report preparation. Ensures that firm policies and practices are followed on all assessments. Contributes to firm's technical knowledge management (TKM) by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc. Submits technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals. Attends conferences, symposia, etc. to improve the visibility of the firm's products and services in collaboration with applicable sales staff. Performs other duties as required.
    This role is expected to be in the field roughly 80% of the time.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline. 0 years. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

    Skills and Abilities

    Basic Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Communications skills. Basic knowledge of scientific methods and processes.
    Some lifting of heavy objects (e.g., sample coolers) and equipment.
