Genetics Counselor provides genetic counseling and education to individuals and families at risk for hereditary disorders. Obtains and analyzes family medical history to identify patients at risk for specific disorders or syndromes. Being a Genetics Counselor recommends genetic testing as warranted and counsels patients on test results, treatment and alternative coping methods. May provide crisis intervention as needed. Additionally, Genetics Counselor requires a master's degree of Genetic Counseling. Typically reports to a manager or director. Requires board certification from the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG). Typically requires a state license to practice. Looking for a motivated cell culture laboratory technician. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a wet lab setting and be familiar with aseptic techniques and mammalian cell culture. They should be able to work well with a team but also be comfortable working independently. The candidate will work in a fast-paced working environment with great opportunities for growth. Being organized and observant is a must.
Position is full time 40hr/week (8:00-4:00) with rotating weekends and holidays
