Genetics Counselor provides genetic counseling and education to individuals and families at risk for hereditary disorders. Obtains and analyzes family medical history to identify patients at risk for specific disorders or syndromes. Being a Genetics Counselor recommends genetic testing as warranted and counsels patients on test results, treatment and alternative coping methods. May provide crisis intervention as needed. Additionally, Genetics Counselor requires a master's degree of Genetic Counseling. Typically reports to a manager or director. Requires board certification from the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG). Typically requires a state license to practice. Looking for a Counselor (LAC or LPC) who is interested in growing as a therapist and has interest in working with Complex PTSD, anxiety disorders and resolving core issues. This is an opportunity to get specialized training and supervision in EMDR, trauma therapies, and the treatment of complex issues.
This is a part-time or full-time position.
This position requires someone with a drive and innovation to grow and develop as a therapist. Training and quality supervision is our biggest priority when equipping an LAC to grow in their stride as counselors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Provide individual, couples, or family psychotherapy in accordance with federal/state laws and professional code of ethics
-Consult with Clinical Director regarding case management and treatment plan
-Maintain appropriate documentation of services to clients, including intake, assessments and progress notes
-Implement and maintain LK Institute philosophy, principles and procedures
-Conduct one's self in a manner consistent with the professional code of ethics
-Provide clinically appropriate treatment, interventions and/or education to clients in a professional manner
Requirements
-Masters degree or higher in mental health related field.
-Possession of LAC licensure in the state of Arizona (minimum).
-Must be in good standing with an active license according to AZBBHE.
-Ability to obtain and maintain malpractice insurance.
-Active finger print clearance card.
-Must have a smartphone, computer access and a willingness to learn LK Institute electronic health record system,
