Genetics Counselor provides genetic counseling and education to individuals and families at risk for hereditary disorders. Obtains and analyzes family medical history to identify patients at risk for specific disorders or syndromes. Being a Genetics Counselor recommends genetic testing as warranted and counsels patients on test results, treatment and alternative coping methods. May provide crisis intervention as needed. Additionally, Genetics Counselor requires a master's degree of Genetic Counseling. Typically reports to a manager or director. Requires board certification from the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG). Typically requires a state license to practice. Babcock Genetics is looking for a multi-talented individual capable of performing the combined duties of swine herdsperson, maintenance and groundskeeper.
Purpose of Position:
While performing the duties of herdsman the candidate will perform duties including providing care to all ages of swine, from piglets to adult sows and boars, ensuring optimum living arrangements and productivity.
While performing the duties for the maintenance position the candidate will perform general farm maintenance including welding, electrical, minor plumbing, maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment.
While performing the duties of groundskeeper the candidate will perform routine grounds keeping duties including but not limited to mowing and some snow removal, and other routine duties when required.
