Overview:

R&D Maintenance is an experienced Department of Defense contractor, having provided construction, installation, and maintenance services over 450,000 times and in all 50 states plus. R&D Maintenance has evolved into a uniquely qualified general contractor with expertise in facility maintenance, including design-build projects, installation and demolition of equipment/structures, equipment replacement/upgrade projects, and more. Since its founding in 1980, R&D Maintenance has delivered services for hundreds of clients.

The General Maintenance Worker performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, tree cutting & removal, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, heating, cooling, electrical work and construction. Work involves a variety of the following duties: replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors, using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks, replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles, hanging doors and installing door locks, replacing broken window panes, and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery. Will be required to train and learn on any and all Construction & Maintenance equipment such as a chainsaw, backhoe, excavator, tractor, forklift, skid steer, dozer, bobcat, drills, saws, and more. Several other job duties may be assigned as needed.

**** Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, be on feet 8 or more hours a day and lift at least 50 pounds without difficulty. Must be able to work out in all weather conditions, and be willing to adjust schedule as needed. Must be physically capable to perform all work required.

Schedule:

· Day shift with occasional overtime and weekend work

· 8 am - 4:30 pm

• Monday - Friday & scheduled weekend work
• Scheduled Weekend work is required with occasional on-call work and occasional overtime.

Maintenance Complex is in Cartersville, Georgia. Job locations will be surrounding Lake Allatoona in Bartow, Cobb & Cherokee counties. A Work Truck will be provided for you to ride and or drive to each work location and return to main complex at the end of each day.

Requirements:

• MUST have a valid Class A CDL Driver’s License
• Must be 18 years old or older
• MUST be able to pass a supervised drug screen
• MUST have a great MVR (Motor Vehicle Record/Driving Record)
• MUST Pass a background check
• Knowledge of construction & general maintenance
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
