General Laborer, Sr. jobs in North Carolina

Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Make and prepare sand cores for molding process
• Form, clean and assemble molds and prepare for pouring
• Break off gating from castings and then separate
• Use of hand tools (disc grinders, cut off saws, hammers)
• Grind and chip castings to bevel, round or straighten edges
• Inspect equipment for safety hazards
• Quality checks for conformance to standards
• Practice good housekeeping
• Assist in developing concepts for continuous improvement

Work Environment May Include:

• Dirt/fumes

• Loud/noisy

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $14.00 per hour

Requirements

 Qualifications:

• Work in fast-paced environment
• Flexibility for change to meet customer demands
• Able to bend, twist and lift up to 90 pounds
• Able to be on your feet for long periods of time
• Willing to work overtime when needed
• Foundry experience preferred
• Good attendance is a must
• Ability to to operate a forklift, overhead crane, rammers and grinders
