This is a job where you will be able to work indoors and outdoors in a fast-paced environment, both with customers at their homes as well as small business owners at their place of business. The job types and challenges change regularly due to the various types of installations we are contracted to perform so you will not get bored. Duties and Responbilities:
- Assist our Foreman/ Installer in all aspects of completing individual work orders for a variety of concrete applications (including but not limited to concrete overlays, new concrete forms and pours, stamp, stain, hand-paint, and seal surfaces for decorative finishing)
- Assist with installation of water and solvent-based materials such as epoxies, crack repair/fillers, overlays, sealers, and stains.
- Grind, repair cracks and clean/finish concrete surfaces
- Operate vehicles, grinder/polishers/buffers, hand power tools, vacuums, and other industry-related equipment following safety procedures.
- Mix correct ratios of products following detailed recipes to be used for the job
- Prepare and organize tools and job site
- Follow protocol and established processes
- Work towards personal and company advancement developing skills by attending company sponsored training
- Follow established safety rules, regulations and protocol while using tools, machinery, and equipment
- Assist in cleaning, maintaining, and ensuring all equipment and tools are in proper working order daily
- Ability to learn and to understand and follow directions and work as a team for the good of the project.
- Keep company vehicle and trailer neat and tidy
- Load vehicle and trailer with necessary job materials/supplies and unloading waste, etc. at end of the day
- Ensure truck and trailer have all marketing materials for the day (yard signs and door hangers)
- Attend mandatory weekly team meetings covering scope of work orders
- Other small tasks, as assigned by direct report(s)
Qualifications / Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- Prospective candidates must be able to pass a background check, have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and a good driving record, and ability to drive a truck and trailer
- Pre-employment drug screen required
- Requires physical work including working on hands/knees and pushing or pulling objects and lift and/or move up 50 pounds.
- 1 year experience in concrete or construction industry or similar experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work long hours and may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
- Use of hand tools and small power tools
- Ability to learn and to understand and follow directions and work as a team for the good of the project.
