General Laborer performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, digging, and moving materials. Operates a variety of tools to complete assignments according to internal and external policies and regulations. Being a General Laborer assembles and disassembles machines, tools, and other work-related equipment. Assists engineers and a variety of other functions with manual labor tasks as needed. Additionally, General Laborer may require a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The General Laborer works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Job Summary:
Objective
This position oversees the daily operation, set-up, and minor sanitation of all packaging and filler equipment. This includes ice cream room and milk plant production floor.
Compensation
This an hourly paid position, scheduled as a 40 hours per week; flexibility in your schedule is essential. The start time varies according to the position (around 5am) and ends when the job is finished. Occasional weekends and overtime occur.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Operations, set-up, and switch over of filler equipment. This includes fine-tuning the settings on the filler according the package size you are running.
- Operations and set-up of dater and labeler. Making sure that the correct code date and label are present on every package.
- Know how to properly clean machinery between flavors and at the end of the day.
- Switchboard operation. You must make clear decisions when moving any of the toggles.
- Stock packaging.
- Assist in maintaining the quality of our products by checking the fill level, texture, weight, package cleanliness, and package printing.
- Must work safely around moving equipment.
- Operate a pressure washer and foamer.
- Wash milk cases and dump coconut milk tins.
