General Laborer jobs in Benton Harbor, MI

Bay Boys Construction, located in Decatur, Michigan is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill a general laborer position. Standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Installation of structures or fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, trim or hardware using hand or power tools.
• Performs maintenance service, repairs and construction in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical.
• Perform construction work related to remodeling or modifying residential and commercial buildings.
• Light electrical work; changing bulbs, rewiring or adjusting wiring within a frame or wiring for new connections, switches and outlets.
• Light plumbing work; removing, remodeling or installing new plumbing pipes and fixtures.
• Load and unload materials, tools, or other products to and from job-site.
• Job set up and clean up.
• Other miscellaneous duties may be assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to perform heavy manual labor.
• Ability to problem solve and multitask.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to operate basic hand tools.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
• Active learning, good judgment, and time management skills.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
