Responsibilities

POSITION WILL BE LOCATED AT 5000 SUMMERDALE AVENUE, PHILADELPHIA, PA, 19124

This position will assist current employees with daily duties to effectively procure materials and supplies at the most economical cost to PGW as well as provide assistance to higher level specialists in day-to-day activities.

Duties may include:

• Performs all procurement administrative functions including but not limited to answering phones, maintaining the file system and responding to routine correpsondence;
• Assists higher level Buyers with routine procurement activities in all aspects of the procurement functions;
• Performs other special projects and assignments as requested.

Qualifications

• Must have be majoring in Business, Accounting, Marketing, or Finance.
• Must have knowledge of general office practices including but not limited to office administration, budget/accounting principles, procurement procedures, team building and personnel management.
• Must have verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees, irate vendors and other public agencies/officials in delicate, pressure situations.
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office and Oracle Financials Purchasing and Inventory Module.
• Must have organizational management skills with the ability to handle multiple taks simultaneously and usually under short deadlines.
