Position Title: Supply Chain Manager
Reports to: Operations Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the supply chain, including planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management. The Supply Chain Manager will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and distributors to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and materials while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Management:
· Plan and coordinate the procurement of raw materials, components, and finished goods to meet production and customer demand.
· Develop and implement supply chain strategies and processes to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve performance.
· Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.
· Collaborate with the VP of Sales, Director of Operations, and Director of Finance to build product forecasts and schedule deliveries.
· Collaborate with other departments to implement procedures or systems to evaluate or select suppliers.
Supplier Relations
· Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and pricing.
· Monitor supplier performance to assess the ability to meet quality and delivery requirements. Maintain records of supplier performance for the quality system.
· Develop relationships and communicate regularly with suppliers to discuss production forecasts or changes, pricing, delivery schedules, and new products.
· Work with suppliers to improve flexibility to meet market demand.
· Own supplier management procedures and processes.
· Manage and review all supplier agreements.
· Assist with onsite supplier quality audits.
Inventory Management:
· Monitor product forecasts continuously and adjust deliveries to match demand.
· Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures to optimize stock levels and increase inventory turns to minimize carrying costs.
· Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and sales teams to ensure adequate stock availability to meet customer demand.
· Create ROL and ROQ for standard inventory items and create a mechanism to review and order on a timely basis.
· Implement inventory tracking systems to improve visibility and accuracy.
· Create inventory status reports (e.g., QOH, ROL %, etc.) and report monthly.
Production Planning and Scheduling:
· Collaborate with production managers to develop production schedules aligned with demand forecasts and inventory levels.
· Coordinate with contract manufacturers to ensure timely delivery of finished devices and components.
· Anticipate and mitigate potential supply chain disruptions to minimize production delays.
Logistics and Distribution:
· Manage transportation logistics to ensure on-time delivery of materials and finished products.
· Optimize shipping routes and methods to minimize costs while maximizing efficiency.
· Monitor warehousing and distribution activities to ensure accurate order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
· Document physical supply chain processes using flowcharts, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.
Sterilization Coordinator
· Maintain a calendar for bioburden testing of all products needing sterilization.
· Complete dose audit, bioburden, and sterilization forms
· Schedule normal sterilization runs for all sterilizers.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
· Establish and enforce quality standards throughout the supply chain process.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
· Implement quality control measures to identify and resolve any issues promptly.
· Perform updates to Inventory Management System as tasked by the Quality System.
· Notify QA and Production about required BOM changes so that the changes can be initiated in the Quality System.
Continuous Improvement:
· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
· Lead cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize supply chain efficiency.
· Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
· Minimum of five (5) years related experience of supply chain management in FDA/GMP regulated industry, preferably in the medical device industry.
· Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) is a plus.

· Strong knowledge of procurement principles, inventory management techniques, and production planning methodologies.
· Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 13485).
