Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Experienced with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective. Familiar with industry standard business process mapping, and reengineering. Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
Under minimal supervision and using knowledge of electric utility infrastructure and fundamental power principals, this position assists in modeling electrical infrastructure to ensure data is validated for proper topology, catalog data, and complies with client's Geospatial Information System (GIS) Electric Power Grid (EPG) specifications and standards. Individuals with experience using geospatial information systems (GIS) for modeling electric utility data is required for this position. client's’s GIS system provides the foundation infrastructure data that is used my many critical downstream systems including client’s ADMS and customer facing outage applications. These critical systems enable field/operations staff to have situational awareness of our infrastructure, manage crews, and track outages using this data. This data is also used by our customer facing systems so that customer can view and be notified when they are involved in outages.
