JOB SUMMARY

Bohannan Huston is currently seeking a full-time GIS Analyst to join our Surface Water Engineering Group in our Albuquerque, NM office.

As a GIS Analyst in the Surface Water Engineering group, you would work under the supervision of a licensed Engineer, and will assist in the preparation of mapping documents, data formatting, and performing advanced GIS analysis. Using GIS tools, geometry types and spatial relationships, the successful candidate will perform advanced geoprocessing for analysis, data management and automation.

WHO YOU ARE

Qualifications:

• You have graduated with a bachelor's degree with major coursework in GIS, geography, hydrology, engineering, planning, or related technical discipline and have at least a 3.0 GPA, and have shown a commitment to academic focus, leadership and delivering high quality solutions and products. Experience may be substituted for education, with a relevant 2-year degree.
• You have a portfolio of previous work and/or academic projects.
• You have experience in ESRI GIS software.
• You have knowledge of advanced GIS technical processes and routines and will be able to deliver quality work products. Additional preference may be given to those candidates with experience and skills in non-ESRI software platforms used in elevation and feature data processing such as FME and open-source software such as QGIS and GDAL.
• You have attention to detail, the ability to problem solve, and can work effectively in a team environment.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication.
• You are determined, organized, and detail oriented.
• You are customer focused.
• You have an entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to learn and grow.
• You welcome feedback and find ways to do your work better.
• You are eager to make your work more efficient by learning and mastering various engineering technologies.
