Furniture Finisher restores and preserves furniture using variety of hand and power tools. Applies knowledge of fabrics and wood furniture to complete projects. Being a Furniture Finisher may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additionally, Furniture Finisher is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Finisher II will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing and repairing damaged merchandise in the repair shop. You will train to become a Finisher III in wood repair, leather repair and reupholstering. This position plays a significant role in our ability to add or replace a Finisher in the repair shop.
