Harmony Traveling Sales Rep Job Description

Harmony Contract Furniture is looking to add a motivated outside Sales Representative to our team! This position involves working independently to create contract furniture sales through prospecting and networking with Architecture / Design Firms, Restaurant Groups, Hotels, Country Clubs, Education and Corporate Spaces.

Territory = New England

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work independently generating leads and procuring new customers
• Build customer relationships with new and existing clients by reaching out via phone calls, emails, or other forms of communication
• Engage the clients in a professional and personable way that demonstrates your personal passion for the product
• Close sales with qualified leads to generate new business and ensure the client’s needs are met
• Encourage potential clients to buy premium products and close the best possible deal
• Pursue new business opportunities that provide revenue growth
• Becoming the furniture expert – having excellent knowledge of Harmony’s products
• Promote brand awareness, encourage customer loyalty and expand market territory.
• Travel to appointments in New England
• Perform product presentations
• Follows up – as long as it takes to get the job
• Punctuality - respond to customers in a timely manner.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes

Required Experience/Skills

• 3 to 5 years commercial furniture experience
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a sales environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Must be an independent, self-sufficient sales professional who can identify opportunities and has the drive to pursue them.
• Must have an understanding of the unique needs of the hospitality industry and needs of customers.
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Appreciation for our product and enthusiasm in making recommendations to customers.
• Time management and organizational skills
