Furnace Operator/Tender sets-up, operates, maintains, and controls furnaces to melt metal to specified temperatures. Adjusts controls to regulate the furnace and to maintain specified temperature. Being a Furnace Operator/Tender requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Furnace Operator/Tender relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

looking for energetic, self-motivated, and reliable individuals to process scheduled customer work
through the furnace line.
Essential Duties and Requirements:
Ability to operate machinery after adequate training.
Setup and load furnace according to work order and standard furnace operational instructions.
Maintain all required documentation.
Perform in process inspections as required.
Monitor equipment for correct operation.
Handle parts to preclude from mixing
Setup parts in appropriate work fixtures
Assist with final QC inspection of parts.
Weekly cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
Notify supervisor and/or quality in the event of defects or unacceptable product quality
Repack, and move processed parts to designated staging area, strap and wrap as required.
Qualifications and Education:
Manufacturing experience is preferred.
High School Diploma or GED.
Fork lift operation.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well with others.
Must have an aptitude for working with their hands.
Good attendance and work history a must.
Must be legally eligible to work in USA and pass a pre-employment assessment test and drug
screening.
