Job Title: Front Desk Supervisor
Job Summary: The Front Desk Supervisor at Fairfield Inn & Suites - Huntington will oversee the daily operations of the front desk and ensure exceptional customer service is delivered to all guests. As a key member of the team, the Front Desk Supervisor will be responsible for managing and training front desk staff, handling guest complaints and requests, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the front desk. The Front Desk Supervisor will report directly to the General Manager and will work closely with other departments to ensure a positive guest experience.
Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time, hourly position with a competitive pay commensurate with experience. Eligible employees will also receive a benefits package, including health & life insurance, travel discounts, vacation.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and train front desk staff, including scheduling, onboarding, and performance evaluations
• Ensure smooth and efficient operation of the front desk, including check-in/check-out processes, room assignments, and handling guest inquiries
• Handle guest complaints and requests in a professional and timely manner
• Monitor room availability and oversee room reservations, cancellations, and changes
• Maintain accurate records of guest transactions and room inventory
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a positive guest experience and resolve any issues
• Assist with financial reporting and budgeting
• Maintain knowledge of hotel services, promotions, and local attractions to provide guests with accurate information
• Adhere to and enforce hotel policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Handle any other tasks or duties assigned by the General Manager
Requirements:
• Prior experience in the hospitality industry and/or customer service supervisory role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel management software - FOSSE a plus!
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
