The Front Desk Associate is responsible for maintaining guest satisfaction through providing quality guest services that include checking in/out guests, anticipating their needs and solving in a timely manner, answering telephones and taking reservations all in a professional and positive manner.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
·Check-in and check-out guests
·Take reservations in accordance with Reservation Professional guidelines and in a positive and professional manner
·Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
·Completing all items on daily tasks sheets
·Ensure proper credit card procedures are followed at all times and within PCI compliance
·Adhere to all cashiering procedures - open, secure and balance out shift banks to include verification of all cash.
·Communicate services and amenities of the hotel to all guests
·Communicate any guest’s issues or concerns with proper department, managers or co-workers
·Knowledge of hotel safety procedures
·Maintaining cleanliness in front desk, back office and lobby areas
·Maintain complete knowledge at all times of:
·all hotel features/services, hours of operation.
·all room types, numbers, layout, décor, appointments and location.
·all room rates, special packages and promotions.
·daily house count and expected arrivals/departures.
·room availability status for any given day.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications: Knowledge, Skill and Ability
·Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
·Ability to effectively deal with internal and external guests, which may require high levels of patience and understanding to defuse anger
·Ability to work well under pressure during the summer season
·Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and courtesy.
·Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management.
