Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full time Infection Prevention Program Supervisor of our Medical Affairs department.
Responsible for oversight of all functions of the Infection Prevention and Control Department. Develops, organizes and coordinates the Infection Prevention and Control program to meet the requirements of the Joint Commission standards and other federal, state and local regulatory/accrediting agencies, as appropriate. Is responsible to develop and implement practices that improve patient care through infection surveillance and prevention activities. Surveillance activities will be based on culture results, trends in the literature and community, and issues identified within the hospital. Prevention activities shall be designed to prevent the spread of organisms in the Cabell Huntington Hospital facilities to patients, employees, medical staff members, service workers, volunteer students and visitors. The Infection Preventionist Program Supervisor shall have oversight of the Infection Preventionists and lead collaboration with the patient care team including the Medical Director of Infection Control to ensure compliance with infection prevention principles.
