Fraud Prevention Supervisor supervises fraud detection associates in their effort to identify and prevent future fraud. Leads cross-functional initiatives to proactively detect and prevent fraud from occurring. Being a Fraud Prevention Supervisor regularly reviews the team's work product and makes recommendations as needed. Researches, documents, and implements best practices in the fraud prevention industry. Additionally, Fraud Prevention Supervisor analyzes current processes and procedures and makes recommendations to promote more effective operations. Provides training and guidance to new employees. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Fraud Prevention Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Job Duties
This position will assist the Fire Chief with enforcing fire prevention laws, ordinances and
regulations, and will perform inspections and plan reviews for new and existing commercial,
mercantile, and residential occupancies.
Requirements
Knowledge: Good working knowledge of rules, regulations, codes, and concepts for all aspects
of fire and life safety. Comprehensive technical and practical knowledge of the materials,
methods, and techniques related to fire prevention, notification, and suppression systems.
Skills: Excellent management, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work with
policies and procedures to accomplish goals and objectives. Must have excellent public
relations skills.
Ability: Ability to plan organize and execute work plans to accomplish goals. Ability to
communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective and
harmonious working relationships with town officials, departments, state agencies, and the
public. Ability to deal with others tactfully, effectively, and maintain positive public relations.
Education
High school diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Science or related discipline preferred.
State or national Pro Board Certified Firefighter Level 1 is required; Level 2 is preferred. Fire
Inspector Level 1 is required within one year of hire. Current valid NH driver’s license.
Experience conducting inspections and reviewing building plans. Ability to pass a criminal
background check and a clean motor vehicle record.
Salary Range
$29.89 to $37.33 per hour DOE
