Fraud Prevention Manager manages a team of analysts responsible for the detection, prevention, and mitigation of fraudulent transactions. Develops cross-functional initiatives to proactively detect and prevent fraud from occurring. Being a Fraud Prevention Manager approves and implements recommendations for process and procedure improvements. Reviews and implements best practices in the fraud prevention industry. Additionally, Fraud Prevention Manager ensures compliance with all relevant anti-fraud regulations and standards. Creates reports outlining trends, risks, and mitigation strategies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Fraud Prevention Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Fraud Prevention Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     As a Product Manager in Trust and Safety Fraud Prevention, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.

     
    Job responsibilities
    • Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
    • Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
    • Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
    • Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
    • Identifies promising fraud prevention hypotheses
    • Utilizes data analysis skills to validate their hypothesis and ultimately present results in an easy to digest and persuasive manner
    • Understands the complete payment instruction life cycle from client to back office and back
    Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
    • 5 years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
    • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
    • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
    • 3 years in Fraud Prevention strategy roles
    • Application development experience in an agile environment
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to clearly convey complex blends of business and technical matters to a range of audiences; ability to articulate points clearly as well as concisely
    Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
    • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
    • Strong technical acumen including experience with web service protocols/technologies and knowledge of big data and cloud computing
    • Experience working with JIRA
    • Familiarity with both Unites States (US) and International Wires, Book Transfers, Foreign Exchange (FX) transactions, low value Automated Clearing House (ACH / iACH), various Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP) schemes, and wallet transactions
