Fraud Prevention Manager manages a team of analysts responsible for the detection, prevention, and mitigation of fraudulent transactions. Develops cross-functional initiatives to proactively detect and prevent fraud from occurring. Being a Fraud Prevention Manager approves and implements recommendations for process and procedure improvements. Reviews and implements best practices in the fraud prevention industry. Additionally, Fraud Prevention Manager ensures compliance with all relevant anti-fraud regulations and standards. Creates reports outlining trends, risks, and mitigation strategies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Fraud Prevention Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Fraud Prevention Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     What You’ll Do

    • Establishes and reviews key strategic priorities and translates them into a comprehensive, actionable, strategic plan. Monitors execution of the strategic plan for opportunities and develops inclusive planning processes.
    • Proactively anticipates and recognizes fraud trends and opportunities, develops solid solutions and utilizes sound judgment to make viable operational business recommendations and decisions.  
    • Analyze fraud trends, patterns, and emerging threats to identify vulnerabilities and proactively address potential areas of risk with a heavy focus on proactive, upstream prevention.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, including risk management, operations, technology, and compliance teams, to ensure alignment and integration of fraud prevention efforts across the organization.
    • Utilize data analytics and predictive modeling techniques to identify anomalous behavior and potential fraud indicators, enhancing the effectiveness of fraud detection mechanisms.
    • Enhance existing fraud prevention tools, systems, and team processes to optimize performance and efficiency while minimizing false positives and customer impact.
    • Stay abreast of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies related to fraud prevention and detection, and incorporate relevant insights into our fraud strategy.
    • Identify and Monitor KPIs and metrics related to fraud prevention and detection efforts, track progress against established goals, and provide regular reporting and insights to senior management.
    • Lead and mentor a team of fraud analysts, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to ensure their success and continued growth.

    What You’ll Need

    • Bachelors degree in related field preferred
    • Proven experience (5 years) in fraud management, risk management, or related Strategy/ Product roles within the financial services industry, with a strong understanding of fraud prevention and detection principles and techniques.
    • 3 or more years of progressive related experience developing strategies, managing major initiatives and delivering results within a complex matrix environment required.
    • 3 Years experience leading direct reports
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically, with a focus on driving results and achieving business objectives.
