The Youth Prevention Tutor will provide tutoring for Wind River Indian Reservation youth participating in preventative care services.
Contributes to student learning, growth, and advancement.
Assist youth with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research, and other academic tasks.
Work with youth to help them understand key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom.
Provide youth with positive and constructive feedback.
Build connections with the youth’s parents and teachers to ensure the students are receiving the best possible support while participating in preventative care services.
Attend Multi-Disciplinary Teams as needed.
Help youth thrive through role modeling, encouragement, advocacy, and problem solving.
Invests in the youth’s well-being, health, and safety, physically, socially and emotionally.
Ensure the safety and whereabouts of youth throughout provided activities.
Maintain and complete necessary documentation.
Performs other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the department.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check under the Indian Child Protection Act and Family Act (P.L.101-630).
High School Diploma or GED
Two years tutoring or teaching experience.
Must possess a valid driver’s license, provide a current 5-year DMV record print out and be eligible for coverage under WRFCHC’s auto insurance policy.
