Swim Instructor / Drowning Prevention Specialist Mission
To effectively and efficiently teach students to become water-safe in order to prevent drowning by using the Big Kahuna Swim Academy Method.
Outcomes
Doesn’t have to rely on Founding CEO or upper management for help – become a MASTER INSTRUCTOR
Have a minimum of 10 students pass their Safety Test #2 by their year mark
90% approval rating among clients served w/ a completely booked schedule
(give or take a few time slots)

Responsibilities
Core responsibilities of the swim instructor/drowning prevention specialist include:
Provide high-quality instruction to students on the 8 Basic Water Safety Skills & Stroke Technique
Seek and accept continual feedback and demonstrate continual improvement in instruction technique
Maintain detailed records of student progress, successes, and challenges
Provide a high level of customer service with excellent service, empathy,
enthusiasm, compassion, pride, and attention to detail
Debrief with Team Lead or Manager each day, seeking a swift resolution to
challenges
Ensure consistency in one’s attendance and commit to a consistent schedule
for six-plus months at a time, ensuring customer retention
Fills in where needed to fill gaps in schedules
Responds swiftly to management requests and communications
Demonstrates a teamwork attitude, jumps in where needed, and goes the
extra mile
Embodies the Values of the CDPF and utilizes them as a basis for coaching
Communicates with team members and leadership via several modalities
including Slack, and ensures vital information is passed to the right people
promptly
